Recology is a 100% employee-owned integrated collection & resource recovery company serving over 90 communities across California – including San Francisco, Sonoma, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Butte, Colusa, Yolo, Solano, and Humboldt counties.

Since establishing its first compost facility more than 25 years ago, Recology has grown to become one of the largest composters on the West Coast, managing eight composting facilities in California and Oregon.

Each year, Recology collects and/or processes over 700,000 tons of organics from its community partners. The material is composted into nutrient-rich soil amendments for agricultural producers, as well as custom blends and mulches for landscapers.
